Terms of Use

By using ThumbGrab, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

What This Site Is

ThumbGrab is a free tool that fetches and displays publicly available YouTube thumbnail images and related metadata (and, where a tool is configured with the necessary third-party keys, generates AI-assisted metadata suggestions). It is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this site to:

  • Automate large-scale scraping or bulk-download activity beyond the rate limits built into the service — the limits exist specifically to keep the tool available for everyone.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or probe the site's security controls.
  • Use downloaded thumbnails in a way that infringes someone else's copyright — see our guide on thumbnail copyright and fair use for the details.
  • Use the AI-assisted generator tools (where enabled) to produce misleading, abusive, or illegal content.

Intellectual Property

ThumbGrab does not own, and does not claim any ownership over, the thumbnails, titles, or other content you access through this site — those belong to their original creators and to YouTube. This site is a retrieval tool, not a content library. What we do own is the code, design, and original written content (like our guides) that make up the site itself.

Service Availability & No Warranty

ThumbGrab is provided free of charge, "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be available at all times, that every video's thumbnail will resolve successfully, or that any AI-generated suggestion is accurate, appropriate, or free of error — always review AI-generated output before using it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThumbGrab is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

Rate Limits

Every endpoint on this site is rate-limited to keep it usable for everyone, with stricter limits on the more resource-intensive tools (like AI generation and channel-wide export). If you're rate-limited, wait a moment and try again — this is a normal, expected part of how the service protects itself, not an error.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the site's functionality changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent real change; continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
